Fly to the cave between the Cave of Summons and Tomra. Nineteen chests across three floors, five new bestiary entries, and a boss that advances toward you on a timer. Every door in the dungeon triggers a Trap Door fight worth solid EXP.
Sealed Cave
Interact with the entrance door and use Luca's Necklace to unlock it. Every door inside triggers a Trap Door encounter (5,000 HP each). Fight them all; they give excellent EXP and sometimes transform into Chimera Brain or Yellow Dragon for extra bestiary entries. King Naga is also common here if you missed it earlier. Save the Fuma Shuriken from the chests for the final boss.
B1. Go south through the rope, then open the chest at the bottom for a Bestiary (277/342). Head north and go through the southeast door. Two chests: Kotetsu and Ether (278-279/342). Exit. Head west, then north through the rope. Go through the northwest door. Two chests: Hi-Potion and Ether (280-281/342). Fight the empty doors for EXP, then take the southeast stairs to B2.
B2. Head south through the rope for a Bestiary (282/342). Go back north and east for a Phoenix Down (283/342). Continue north along the narrow ledge. Four doors line the top row (right to left). Second from right: Light Sword (284/342). Third from right: Fuma Shuriken, Elixir, and Light Curtain (285-287/342). Leftmost: Kotetsu and Black Cowl (288-289/342). The second from left is a save room. Head southwest through the door, grab the Ether on the path (290/342), and take the southwest stairs.
B3. Open both chests in the small area: Hi-Potion and Phoenix Down (291-292/342). Head south across the bridge, then east for a Bell of Silence (293/342). Go through the middle rope and break open the eastern door. Two chests: Dry Ether and X-Potion (294-295/342). That's 19/19 chests.
B4 and B5 are linear with no chests. Head down to the Crystal Room.
How to beat Demon Wall
Grab the Dark Crystal, then head back. The Demon Wall has 28,000 HP and advances toward the party over time. When close enough, it uses Crush to instantly kill one party member. Spam Leviathan with Rydia, Jump with Kain, Attack with Cecil and Edge, and cast Haste with Rosa to speed up your turns.
Walk all the way back to B1. A cutscene triggers at the entrance and Kain leaves the party again. Exit the cave.
Side quests
Return to the Dwarven Castle throne room. The airship is upgraded to travel between the underworld and overworld. Fly to the northeast crater to ascend.
Adamantite. Pick up the Enterprise airship (check the blue diamond on the map) and grab the hovercraft. Take it to the Mythril area and drive southeast to the Adamant Grotto. Give the Rat Tail to the NPC inside to receive Adamantite.
Frying Pan. Fly to Fabul Castle. Head to West Tower 3F and speak to Yang's Wife to receive the Frying Pan.
Excalibur. Fly to the underworld and visit Kokkol's Smithy in the southeast corner. Check the pot on 1F for a Remedy (50/54) and the left shelf on 2F for a Soma Drop (51/54). Give Kokkol the Adamantite. He needs time to forge it. Leave.
Sylph summon. Head to Sylvan Cave. Make your way to the Sylvan Cottage (B1 → B2 → south to B1 → southwest to B2 → northwest to B3 → Cottage). Use the Frying Pan on Yang. Rydia learns the Sylph summon.
Knife. Return to Yang's Wife at Fabul West Tower 3F and hand back the Frying Pan. She gives you the Knife, one of the strongest throwable items in the game. Save it for the final boss.
Excalibur. Return to the underworld and pick up the Excalibur from Kokkol's Smithy. Equip it on Cecil. Fly back to the overworld and head to Mysidia. A cutscene triggers and the Lunar Whale appears. The Moon awaits.
