Chest listChests
Sixteen chests across eight floors, four monster-in-a-box fights with Security Eyes, and nine new regular bestiary entries. White Mousse is immune to physical damage (same as every Mousse variant). Mystery Eggs should be killed instantly with Rydia's Bio before they hatch; hatched enemies don't count for the bestiary. Security Eyes summon different monsters when attacked, so kill the eye first to prevent spawning extras.
Tower of Babel
1F. Head north to a split. Go west for an Emergency Exit (175/342). From that chest, head south for a Hi-Potion (176/342). Back at the split, take the east path and open the chest under the arc for an Ether (177/342). Go through the north door.
2F. Open the chest near the entrance for a Green Beret (178/342). Head south to two side rooms. The south door has a monster chest: a Security Eye that summons a Chimera when hit. Kill the eye first (always kill the eye before the summon). Reward: Icebrand (179/342). But the northeast door is the same trick; another Security Eye, this time summoning a Stone Golem. Reward: Ice Lance (180/342). Take the north door.
3F. Grab the Cat Claw to your left (181/342). Head east for a Hi-Potion (182/342), then south for a Phoenix Down (183/342). Go through the nearby southeast door.
4F (via 3F southeast door). Open the chest on the left for a Killer Bow (184/342) and the east chest for an Antarctic Wind (185/342). Exit back to 3F, head north, and follow the linear path to the western door.
4F (main). The southwest door leads to a save room (use it before the monster chests). Head north across the bridge to the east side. Go south and through the first door on the left: another Security Eye monster chest that summons a Fiery Hound. Reward: Ice Armor (186/342). Exit and go north. Enter the room just across from the bridge; Security Eye again, this time summoning a Naga. Reward: Ice Shield (187/342). If you killed the Naga before the eye could summon one, Security Eyes on later floors can still summon Nagas. Cross the north bridge and go through the door.
5F. Head south, then immediately north up a set of stairs to reach an Arctic Wind (188/342). Go back down and head east for a Hi-Potion (189/342). Continue north through the door.
6F-7F. On 6F, head through the western door. On 7F, the northeast room has a save point. Continue south and west for the last chest: Dry Ether (190/342). That's 16/16 chests. Confirm all bestiary entries are registered, then take the northeast door to 8F.
How to beat Dr. Lugae
The 8F boss fight has multiple phases. First you face Doctor (4,936 HP) alongside Barnabas (4,832 HP). Kill Barnabas first. He transforms into Barnabas-Z (4,518 HP) which functions the same but explodes on death, taking out one party member. After Barnabas-Z falls, the Doctor retreats and returns as Dr. Lugae (9,321 HP) for the real fight.
After the battle, head back to 5F. Go up the middle stairs and use Dr. Lugae's Key on the central door. Inside, step forward for an event and an easy forced battle against three Goblin Captains. Watch the cutscenes that follow.
Your objective is to walk back down to 1F. Emergency Exit doesn't work here. A final scene plays on 1F just before the exit.
Hovercraft hook
After the events, head north to Baron and enter Castle Baron. Go inside to 1F, exit east to the roof, continue east then south to the courtyard. Talk to the southern engineer to install a Hovercraft Hook on the airship. This lets you pick up and drop the hovercraft anywhere on the overworld map.
Board the airship and fly to the Mt. Hobs area where you left the hovercraft (look for a blue diamond on the map). Pick it up, then fly to the Eblan area on the southwestern continent. Drop the hovercraft near Eblan Castle, land the airship, and hop on the hovercraft. Ride west across the shallow rocks to reach the Cave of Eblan entrance. Disembark and head inside.
