Final Fantasy 3's shops stock 57 weapons, from 60-gil daggers in Ur to the 65,500-gil Shuriken in Eureka. Prices and locations are confirmed for the Pixel Remaster version. Weapons found exclusively in chests or as enemy drops aren't listed here (those show up in the individual walkthrough chapters).
Swords & knives
The broadest weapon class in the game. Most physical jobs can equip at least a dagger, and the lineup scales from Ur's 60-gil starting gear to the 28,000-gil Defender from the Ancient Ruins and Invincible. The Main Gauche's Agi +3 bonus makes it a solid Thief pick, and the Blood Sword drains HP on hit (but heals undead, so avoid it against Bone Dragons).
| Name | Atk | Price | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Defender | 95 | 28,000 | Ancient Ruins, Invincible |

| Longsword | 10 | 100 | Ur |
| Dagger | 9 | 60 | Ur |
Staves & rods
Caster weapons trade raw attack power for Int and Spi bonuses that boost spell damage and healing output. The elemental staves can be used as items in battle to cast their corresponding spell for free. Buy them even if the attack stat looks low. Rods from NE Saronia offer +3 to both Int and Spi, which makes them the best purchasable caster weapons before the endgame.
| Name | Atk | Price | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rune Staff | 33 | 18,000 | NE Saronia |

| Mythril Rod | 12 | 400 | Kazus, Canaan |
| Staff | 3 | 40 | Ur |
Bows & arrows
Rangers need both a bow and arrows equipped to attack at range. The bow determines base accuracy; arrows add their own attack value on top. Elemental arrows from the Village of the Ancients exploit weaknesses against specific enemy types. And the Yoichi Bow + Yoichi Arrow combo from Falgabard is the strongest purchasable ranged setup in the game.
| Name | Atk | Price | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yoichi Bow | 48 | 32,000 | Falgabard |
| Killer Bow | 32 | 3,400 | Village of the Ancients |
| Yoichi Arrow | 26 | 20,000 | Falgabard |

| Holy Arrow | 8 | 700 | Dwarven Hollows, Amur |
| Bow | 6 | 100 | Ur |
| Wooden Arrow | 6 | 50 | Ur |
Spears
Dragoon weapons that pair with Jump to deal double damage on landing. Only three are sold in shops, but each one marks a clear power spike. The Blood Lance at 95 Atk drains HP on hit, though it heals undead enemies just like the Blood Sword.
| Name | Atk | Price | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blood Lance | 95 | 28,000 | Ancient Ruins |
| Wind Spear | 53 | 8,000 | NE Saronia |
| Thunder Spear | 45 | 6,000 | Amur, NE Saronia |
Axes & hammers
High-damage weapons for Vikings and heavy physical jobs. Axes trade accuracy for raw attack power, so equipping one means accepting the occasional miss. But the Dual Haken at 122 Atk with Str +3 from the Invincible is one of the strongest physical weapons available before Eureka.
| Name | Atk | Price | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dual Haken | 122 | 28,000 | Invincible |
| Triton Hammer | 110 | 26,000 | Invincible |
| Dual Tomahawk | 90 | 10,000 | Ancient Ruins |
| Battleaxe | 80 | 7,400 | Amur |
Martial weapons
Monks start with nunchaku and graduate to knuckle weapons at higher job levels. The Sansetsukon (25 Atk) covers the early game; Kaiser Knuckles (45 Atk, 99 Acc) from Amur are the only purchasable knuckle weapon. At high enough levels, monks outdamage weapons entirely with bare fists.
| Name | Atk | Price | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kaiser Knuckles | 45 | 15,000 | Amur |
| Sansetsukon | 25 | 3,000 | Dwarven Hollows |
| Tonfa | 20 | 500 | Dwarven Hollows |
| Nunchaku | 12 | 60 | Ur |
Bells & harps
Geomancers equip bells; Bards equip harps. Both weapon types hit from the back row without penalty and provide Int or Spi bonuses that scale their job's terrain or song effects. The Rune Bell (98 Atk, Int +5) and Loki Harp (90 Atk, Spi +7) from the Invincible are the best of each type.
| Name | Atk | Price | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rune Bell | 98 | 25,000 | Invincible |
| Loki Harp | 90 | 20,000 | Duster, Invincible |
| Madhura Harp | 80 | 10,000 | Amur, Duster |
| Lamia Harp | 70 | 12,000 | Duster |
| Diamond Bell | 42 | 4,500 | Duster |
Other weapons
Specialist weapons for specific jobs. The Ashura katana gives Dark Knights 100 Atk at 99 Acc from Falgabard or the Invincible. Scholar tomes from the Invincible offer caster-stat bonuses alongside decent attack power. And the Shuriken in Eureka has the highest attack of any purchasable weapon at 140, but it's consumed on use and costs 65,500 gil per unit.
| Name | Atk | Price | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shuriken | 140 | 65,500 | Eureka |
| Ashura | 100 | 16,000 | Invincible, Falgabard |
| Morning Star | 70 | 8,000 | Amur |
| Tome of Ice | 53 | 15,000 | Invincible |
| Tome of Light | 53 | 15,000 | Invincible |
| Tome of Fire | 53 | 15,000 | Invincible |
| Boomerang | 40 | 9,000 | Amur |
