Originally released in 1990 on the Famicom, Final Fantasy 3 introduced the job system, summoned monsters, and Moogles to the series. Four orphans from the village of Ur discover the Wind Crystal and gain the power to switch between 23 jobs freely. The game sold 1.4 million copies in Japan but never left the country until 2021; most Western players first encountered it through the 2006 Nintendo DS remake. The Pixel Remaster rebuilds the original Famicom version with updated pixel art, quality-of-life fixes, and Nobuo Uematsu's re-arranged soundtrack.
This guide includes a 22-chapter walkthrough from the Altar Cave to the World of Darkness, a full 225-entry bestiary with farming locations and missable flags, a trophy guide covering all 31 trophies, a job guide ranking all 23 jobs, and a missables checklist for 100% completion. Shop reference pages cover all weapons, armor, magic, and summons.
Walkthrough

Altar Cave
Fall into a cave and discover the Wind Crystal. Fight the Land Turtle boss, unlock five starting jobs, and grab all 14 chests before heading to Ur.

Ur & Kazus
Return to Ur to gear up, then head to Kazus where everyone's been turned into ghosts by the Djinn's curse. Pick up 11 hidden items and meet Cid.

Castle Sasune
Fly Cid's airship to Castle Sasune and descend into the Sealed Cave. Defeat the Djinn to lift the curse, earn the Canoe, and clear the Mythril Mines.
Trophies
31 PSN trophies total: 16 Bronze, 8 Silver, 6 Gold, and 1 Platinum. Seven are missable. Castle Hein and Doga's Grotto can't be revisited after their boss fights, and 10 sea enemies disappear once you lose the Enterprise. Boost settings (4x EXP, 4x Gil, no encounters) don't void any of them. The trophy guide covers every trophy with missable flags and a cleanup checklist.
Bestiary
225 enemies across the overworld, dungeons, and seas. Twenty of them are permanently missable: 5 in Castle Hein, 10 sea enemies tied to the Enterprise, 4 in Doga's Grotto, and the Nepto Dragon in the Bay of Nepto. Each entry in the bestiary has a confirmed farming location so you know exactly where to find every enemy. Three trophies are tied to completion (10%, 50%, and 100%).
Jobs
23 jobs unlock across five crystals, from the basic Warrior at the Wind Crystal to Ninja and Sage in Eureka. The Pixel Remaster removed Capacity Point restrictions, so all abilities are available the moment you switch. The job guide ranks every job with specific mechanics, equipment lists, and recommended party setups for each phase of the game.
Missables
FF3 has several one-time dungeons and story-locked NPCs that vanish permanently. Castle Hein locks after defeating the boss (11 chests, 5 bestiary entries), 10 sea monsters disappear when you lose the Enterprise, and Doga's Grotto closes after its boss fight. The missables guide covers every cutoff point in story order with a full checklist for 100% completion.
Summons
Eight summons are usable by three jobs: Evoker, Summoner, and Sage. Five can be purchased at Replito and Doga's Village; the other three require defeating optional bosses (Odin, Leviathan, and Bahamut). Equipping all eight to one character unlocks the Summon Master trophy. The summons guide covers every spell with prices, boss locations, and the Evoker vs Summoner breakdown.
Shops
Complete shop inventories for every town in FF3, from Ur's starting gear to Eureka's endgame arsenal. Each page lists prices, stats, and locations for every purchasable item.
