Minwu's gone. Now you need the Goddess's Bell to access Kashuan Keep. Talk to Hilda. She directs you to Josef in Salamand; he knows the snow plains and can guide you to Snow Cavern.

Salamand and Semitt Falls
Travel to Salamand. From Altair, canoe to Paloom and take the ship to Poft. Head northwest through the forest to reach Salamand.
Find Josef's house in the northeast corner and ask about Goddess's Bell. He explains the Bell is in Snow Cavern, but you need the Snowcraft to cross the snow fields. He hid it in Semitt Falls. There's a blue stone on B1 that marks the spot; look behind it and to the right for the secret room.

Josef joins as your fourth member. High HP, high Strength, and unlike Minwu, he can take a punch. His hands are empty when he joins, so equip him with spare weapons right away.
Return to Semitt Falls via the river south of Salamand. Make for B1 near the blue stone. In the upper-right corner, interact with the wall. Josef turns a small rock jutting out and a passage appears.

Follow the secret passage to find the Snowcraft. This vehicle lets you traverse snow fields on the world map. You need it to reach Snow Cavern. Double back the way you came.

From Semitt Falls, go west through the narrow passage on your canoe. Take a right at the ocean and hug the water north until you see a small passage into the snow. Push east across the snow fields.

Snowmen spawn on the way - two physical attacks drop them. The trek is long; check the mini map. You're crossing the entire darker gray area east until you hit the bright white spot where the cave sits.

Snow Cavern
Snow Cavern has 13 chests and two boss fights. Enemies are mostly undead: Ghouls, Shadows, Zombies, Dead Heads, Dual Heads. All weak to Fire. Ghouls inflict Blindness; use Esuna. Grenades self-destruct when damaged, so kill them all at once or wait for them to whiff the explosion, then burst them down.

B1. Go up the long staircase. Icicles spawn here; two physical attacks drop them. At the top, go left along the upper section for chest 1 (300 Gil). Continue south. At the first intersection, go right for chest 2 (350 Gil). Continue south and take the stairs down. Skip the door at the bottom; it loops back later.
B2. Walk through the water. Ignore the door, take the stairs down.

B3. Go left and up, loop around for chest 3 (Antarctic Wind). Save this item — it deals heavy damage to the Adamantoise boss. Head back to the stairs, then take the path to the top right corner and climb back up to B2.

B2 Upper. You're on the upper section of B2 now. Walk to the intersection, then south to the bottom right corner for chest 4 (Battle Axe). Back to the intersection, go west for chest 5 (Antidote). You'll get the Rookie Treasure Hunter trophy around here. Continue west for chest 6 (Mythril Mace) — six Grenades guard this one. Kill them all at once or wait for their self-destruct to miss. Equip the Mace. Double back to B3, then south through water to the next staircase.

B5. Circle the outer edge. Top left has chest 7 (Potion); just right is chest 8 (Blizzard Tome). Teach it to Firion. Continue south for chest 9 (Potion); just right is chest 10 (Mythril Spear). Go north, skip the door, take the stairs.

B6. Take the path west to the top left corner for chest 11 (Mythril Shield). Skip the nearby door. Go right and south; bottom left corner has chest 12 (Ancient Sword). Give it to Guy — it inflicts Curse on the boss, tanking its Defense.
Bottom right corner has a door. Inside is a room full of Beavers. Talk to the one against the top wall. Guy can speak Beaver. Ask about Goddess's Bell. He tells you there's a secret passage in the wall to the right; a monster guards the Bell.

Secret Passage. Top right corner of the Beaver room. Walk through the wall.

Follow the passage to the deepest floor.

B7. The path zigzags down. Follow it to the bottom row; far right is chest 13 (Silver Cuirass). That's all 13 chests. Heal up before proceeding. Physical attacks bounce off the boss, so you need Blizzard or the Antarctic Wind.
Boss: Adamantoise
Talk to the Adamantoise guarding the Bell to start the fight.

After the boss, go up and grab the Goddess's Bell from the wall.

Escape
Go up the stairs and through the door. This spits you back out at that door from B1 we skipped earlier. Near the beginning of the dungeon.
Follow the corridor north, then right. Borghen waits at the top of a staircase.

After the fight, Borghen reveals he booby-trapped the cave. A boulder trap triggers.

The party runs for the exit, but Josef stays behind to hold back the boulder.

Josef sacrifices himself. His last words are for his daughter Nellie. Back outside, ride the Snowcraft west until you hit grass, then cut southeast to Poft via Salamand. Heal at the Inn and catch an airship to Kashuan Keep.
Treasure Chests
13
Snow Cavern has 13 treasure chests. None are missable - you can return anytime. The Goddess's Bell is obtained from the wall after defeating Adamantoise.
