Castle Fynn is yours to take back. Leila rejoins at the gates, and Gottos guards the throne room. This chapter has 27 chests, 7 new bestiary entries, and 4 new passwords.
Retaking Castle Fynn
Walk through the gates and Leila intercepts you. She heard about the fight from the Coliseum and wants in. Leila rejoins as your fourth party member, so equip her with your best spare weapon and armor before pushing forward.

You'll see treasure chests in the first area, but ignore them for now. Go straight up and through the entrance. Climb the stairs behind Leila's position and keep pushing north through a few more sets of stairs until you reach the throne room.
Gottos
Gottos (2,000 HP, 70 ATK, 60 DEF) self-buffs with Haste and Attack boosts during the first few turns. If you stall, his damage snowballs and he becomes nearly impossible to survive. This is a pure damage race; throw everything at him before he ramps up. Berserk on your strongest attacker and auto-attack with everyone else.

Castle Fynn is liberated. Talk to Hilda in the throne room and she'll mention Mysidia. Learn it, then ask her about it. She responds with Masks. Learn that too and ask about it. She'll give you one more: Ekmet Teloess.

Speak with Gordon and ask him about Mysidia. He teaches you Ultima Tome, the ultimate spell. Learn it and ask him about it for more context.

That's 4 new passwords. Ekmet Teloess is the one you need right now; it opens a secret door in the throne room that leads to the underground and the White Mask. But first, grab all 27 chests.
With the castle liberated, the shops in Fynn town are open. The weapon shop sells Wing Swords (5,000 Gil) and Flame Bows (4,000 Gil), and the armor shop has Golden gear. Hold off on buying; better equipment is available once you reach Mysidia.
Upper Castle Chests
Make your way back down to the 1st floor. There are 10 chests across the upper floors before you touch the underground, and some involve hidden wall passages. Walk into walls that look solid; the game doesn't tell you they're there.
1F. From the entrance, go up and left through an opening. Follow the path up at the first gap to find chest 1. Return to the middle, take the right opening, go up and then left at the fork. Follow that path for chests 2 and 3. Go to the leftmost side of the floor and take the path leading south to the stairs. You'll pass 2F on the way up to 3F.
3F. Go all the way to the right and straight up. The room contains chests 4, 5, and 6. Walk back down to 1F and this time take the center stairs up to 2F.
2F. Go left through the opening. Chest 7 is in the room just above you (monster chest). Below that room, there's a hidden gap in the wall.
Walk through it and go up to the top-left corner for chest 8. Return to the middle and take the right opening. Chest 9 is in the room above (another monster chest). In the top-right corner of that room is another hidden wall gap.
Go through and down the passage for chest 10.
Castle Underground
Make your way up to the throne room. In the top-right corner, use the Ekmet Teloess password to open the secret door.
Go through and down 3 sets of stairs; you'll end up back on 1F in the top-right area. Walk through a hidden wall gap to get outside the castle. Be careful not to stray too far from the walls or you'll end up on the world map.
Follow the outer wall down and through another hidden gap to get back inside. The door in the bottom-right section leads to a room with chests 11, 12, and 13 (Golden Armor, Gold Cuirass, Golden Shield). Go back to where you came through the first hidden gap and take the stairs down. Five floors of undead await, with monster chests and the White Mask at the bottom. Killer Mantises (750 HP, 60 ATK, 50 DEF) are the toughest random encounter down here, and Wraiths, Specters, Revenants, and Ghasts fill every corridor. Fire tears through the undead. Rhyos (750 HP) shows up in a monster chest on B5, and his Bad Breath inflicts Poison, Curse, and Amnesia in one hit. Kill him before he gets a turn.
B1. Take the path down and to the right for chest 14. Then go back and turn left. You'll hit a wall, so go around it for chest 15. From there, continue right and down through the opening for chest 16. Take the stairs down.
B2. Loop around either side of the room. Chest 17 is in the bottom-right corner. From there, go all the way left and down for chest 18. Go back up, and when the path splits, take the left fork. Chest 19 is at the top. Return to the split, go right, and follow the path to the stairs.
B3. Go right, then straight down to the bottom-right corner for chest 20. Ignore the door nearby (dead end). Go back up and left, then follow the path down to chest 21. Avoid the other door too, as it's another dead end. The top-left area has chest 22. Stairs to B4 are just below.
B4. Follow the path up. Chest 23 is in the north-middle area (monster chest). Walk back down and follow the path until you can go up or right. Go up and all the way right for chest 24 in the top-right corner. Return to the split and take the right/down path. Chest 25 is mid-right, and the stairs down are directly below it.
B5. Turn right and walk up at the third opening. When the path splits, take the left route for chest 26. This is a monster chest with Rhyos; watch out for Bad Breath. Keep going up and right. You'll see 6 doors. Take the fifth from the left.

Open chest 27 for the White Mask. You'll need this in Mysidia. Walk past the chest and step on the purple teleport pad to warp out. Visit Fynn town if you haven't already (the shops are stocked now). Sail south across the sea toward Mysidia. The enemies get tougher from here, so make sure your healing magic is leveled.
