Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster has 28 trophies, and 7 of them are missable. Missable trophies: Memory Lane, Adventurous Wayfarer, all 3 Treasure Hunter trophies, and 2 Bestiary trophies. The Dreadnought, Cyclone, and Castle Palamecia become permanently inaccessible. Follow the walkthrough and check the missables guide.
Overview
Step 1: Normal playthrough. Follow the walkthrough and don't skip anything. Most trophies pop on their own.
- Learn every password when prompted. Memory Lane is missable if you skip any
- Open every chest in temporary dungeons (Dreadnought, Cyclone, Castle Palamecia)
- Fight every enemy type in temporary areas before leaving
- Visit all locations; some become inaccessible after story events
Step 2: Post-game cleanup. A few trophies usually remain after the credits.
- Weapon/Magic Tactics: grind one weapon or spell to level 16 if you haven't already
- Kill count: 500 battles for Legendary Warrior, might need light grinding
- Gil: 100,000 total earned. Spend freely; it tracks cumulative earnings
Story Trophies
All story trophies are unmissable. One pops for each major story beat, plus one for defeating the final boss. See the walkthrough for the full route.

Adventurous Wayfarer (all 27 locations)
MISSABLE. Visit all 27 locations in the game. Most are visited naturally through the story, but the Rebel Camp before Castle Fynn is permanently missable. If you skip it, the location disappears forever. The trophy triggers when you enter the 27th location (usually Pandaemonium).
Excalibur (Sword of Myth)
Ask Hilda about "Dragoons" after the Dreadnought chapter, then fly to Castle Deist and speak to Gordon. He'll mention the legendary sword. Head to the treasure room and grab Excalibur. Trophy pops immediately.
Memory Lane (all 15 passwords)
MISSABLE. You must learn all 15 passwords during the story. Some become unavailable after certain events. See the passwords guide for the full list: Wild Rose, Mythril, Dreadnought, Airship, Sunfire, Goddess's Bell, Dragoons, Wyverns, Mysidia, Mask, Ekmet Teloess, Ultima Tome, Cyclone, Palamecia, Jade Passage.
Weapon & Magic Tactics
Raise any weapon or spell to level 16. Weapons level up by attacking with them repeatedly (yes, even on weak enemies). Spells level up by casting them, but the final level-up must happen in battle, not from the menu. Pick one weapon type early and stick with it. For magic, Cure is easy to grind: cast it on your own party members during fights.
Combat Trophies
Kill counts come naturally. Don't flee from fights and you'll hit 500 before the endgame. But if you're short, grind in Pandaemonium or anywhere with frequent encounters.
