Josef died getting you the Goddess's Bell. Kashuan Keep holds the Sunfire you need to destroy the Dreadnought; 11 chests and 7 new bestiary entries are inside.
Reaching Kashuan Keep
Head back to Poft from Salamand. In the pub, talk to Cid's assistant at the far right table and book passage to Kashuan Keep. The airship drops you right at the entrance.

Kashuan Keep
Kashuan Keep has 5 floors, 11 chests, and one boss. Rest up outside before you enter.
Inside, a magical flame blocks the path. Use the Goddess's Bell on the door behind it to unlock the way forward.

Past the door, you'll meet Gordon, prince of Kashuan. He came for the Sunfire himself but couldn't proceed without Egil's Torch, a relic needed to carry the flame. Gordon joins as your fourth member. He starts with a spear and shield but has low weapon proficiency, so he won't hit hard at first. Hand him the Mythril Sword from 4F when you get there. His stats grow fast if you keep him in combat.

Ogres (100 HP, 25 ATK) are the hardest hitters on most floors. Protect cuts their damage noticeably. Ogre Mages (140 HP) are worse in a different way; they cast Sleep and Blizzard 5 on your whole party, so kill them before they get a turn. Ghasts (100 HP) inflict Paralysis and can lock down your healer, but Fire tears through them since they're undead. Shadows and Wraiths have high evasion, so magic works better than physical attacks against them.
1F. Follow the path. In the next room, go south to the bottom right corner for chest 1 (Cure Tome). Head back up, go left. Ignore the door. Continue south to the stairs.
2F. Go right, then down. Continue right to the end, then up for chest 2 (500 Gil). Follow the path around to the stairs.
3F. Head left into the statue room. Three paths lead south; the first is a dead end. Take the second one for chest 3 (Golden Shield), which is guarded by 5 Wererats. They can Poison but aren't dangerous (just tedious). Double back and go right, then down to the stairs.
4F. Go left at the fork and head south to the first door. Inside you'll find a Mythril Axe, Werebuster, and Mythril Sword. The Werebuster shreds Werebeasts and is a solid upgrade for the undead-heavy floors ahead. Give the Mythril Sword to Gordon. Exit, go up, veer left past the door, then south to 5F.
5F. Go up and right, then push south. Chest 7 (Golden Armor) sits near the middle of the floor and triggers a fight with 4 Mines and 2 Balloons.
Head right and north to the door in the top right. Inside: Mallet, Antidote, and Eye Drops. Leave, go south, then left at the split. Follow the stairs down; you'll find Red Soul waiting in a room below.
Boss: Red Soul
Red Soul (540 HP, 40 DEF) absorbs every element in the game, so all offensive magic heals it instead of dealing damage. Physical attacks are the only way through. It opens with 5 rounds of spells, but once its 30 MP runs dry it switches to weak physical attacks that barely scratch a buffed party. Keep Cure running and auto-attack.
After the fight, grab Egil's Torch from the chest behind it. And that's the last thing you need from this dungeon.
Obtaining the Sunfire
Cast Teleport to warp back to the entrance (or walk all 5 floors back). Re-enter the keep and interact with the flame. Use Egil's Torch to capture the Sunfire.

As you leave, a cutscene plays. The Dreadnought flies overhead and attacks Cid's airship with Hilda aboard.
Chocobo Forest
Before heading to Altair, go south from Kashuan Keep through the forest. Look for a small clearing between the trees. That's the Chocobo Forest.

Chocobos let you travel faster with no random battles. They return to the forest when you dismount or enter a town.

Return to Altair
Take the path northeast through the mountains toward Poft. Cid's airship isn't available since the Dreadnought captured it. Book passage on the ship from the pub dock to Paloom, then canoe southwest to Altair. Rest at Salamand's inn on the way if your party needs healing.
In the rebel hideout, you learn Hilda has been captured. She left Altair to meet up with you and was aboard Cid's airship when the Dreadnought attacked.

Find Minwu upstairs tending to the King. Ask about Dreadnought. Hilda and Cid are being held aboard it. The next chapter takes you inside the Dreadnought to rescue them and use the Sunfire to destroy its engine. Stock up on Potions and make sure Firion's Cure is at least level 4 before you go.
