Walkthrough Overview
This walkthrough covers the entire game from the moment you wake up in King Lorik's throne room to the final battle with the Dragonlord. Nine chapters, organized by region. Each chapter tells you what to do, what to buy, and what level you should be.
Early Game (Levels 1-7)

Key Milestones
These are the moments that change how you play:
- Level 3 — Heal spell. No more dying to Slimes.
- Level 7 — Sleep spell. Makes tough fights trivial.
- Level 9 — Radiant spell. No more wasting Torches in caves.
- Level 12 — Outside spell. Escape dungeons instantly.
- Level 13 — Return spell. Teleport to Tantegel from anywhere. Saving becomes easy.
- Level 17 — Healmore spell. You can survive endgame content.
- Level 19 — Hurtmore spell. Your strongest attack magic.
Recommended Order
The walkthrough follows a logical progression, but you have some flexibility. Here's the general flow:
- Tantegel → Brecconary → grind to level 5
- Northwest (Garinham, Erdrick's Cave)
- Northeast (Kol, Swamp Cave) → Southeast (Rimuldar, keys)
- Backtrack with keys (Unlocking Secrets)
- Southwest (Mountain Cave, Hauksness for Erdrick's Armor)
- South (Cantlin for endgame gear, Erdrick's Token)
- Charlock Island (final dungeon)
You can visit Cantlin earlier if you have 10,000+ gold saved — just run from everything and use the Fairy Flute on the Golem. The Flame Sword speeds up grinding significantly.
